It looks like country cutie Taylor Swift finally has some competition in Nashville. The Academy of Country Music (ACM) announced their nominations Tuesday, and it's another curly-haired crooner who's leading the pack: Miranda Lambert.
Lambert, who racked up an astounding seven ACM nominations (including nods for best female vocalist and entertainer of the year), is no stranger to upstaging Swift. The recently engaged 27-year-old singer also led the way in CMA nominations back in September 2010, and went on to win four awards including female vocalist of the year and album of the year.
While Lambert may have claimed her throne as the reigning queen of country, Swift's talents are far from going unrecognized, however. The 21-year-old, who or may not be rekindling her romance with Jake Gyllenhaal, is nominated for four awards, including the fan-voted entertainer of the year, where she's up against Lambert, Jason Aldean, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley and new dad Keith Urban.
Chesney and the Zac Brown Band each scored five nominations, followed by The Band Perry and Swift with four apiece. The award winners will be revealed in Las Vegas on April 3 during a show hosted by Reba McEntire and Lambert's fiancé Blake Shelton.
